Holy Sacraments

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Baptisms can be schedule on any available Sunday during the 11:00 AM mass in Italian, 12:30 PM mass in English, or 7:00 PM mass in Portuguese Masses.
Parents or guardians need to:
1) – Provide a copy of the baby’s birth certificate;
2) – Provide “Sponsorship Certificate” for godparents, signed and sealed by the church where they are registered (Click here to print the form);

3) – Schedule to attend a “Baptism Preparation Class” – Every 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM in the Blessed Mother’s room (rectory’s office). Parents and godparents are required to attend this one hour class, unless they have already attended one in a period no longer than 5 years.


SACRAMENT OF PENANCE OR RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION)
Saturdays 4:00 to 4:45 PM, or you can come to the rectory office and ask for an available priest to hear your Confession anytime.


SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Please contact the rectory at least 6 months before the planned wedding date.


SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK
If you are hospitalized or unable to come to Church for health reasons and would like to be visited by a priest for Confession, Communion or Anointing of the Sick, please call the rectory at 201-944-1154.


SACRAMENT OF EUCHARIST
The CCD – CATECHISM classes are held on Sundays, from September through May at 11:30 AM, with obligatory attendance to the 12:30 PM Family Mass. Our children will receive the Sacraments of Penance (Confession) and Holy Communion for the first time at 2nd grade level.


SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Catechism classes in preparation for Confirmation are held on Sundays, from September through April at 11:00 AM, with obligatory attendance to the 12:30 PM Family Mass. Our teens receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at 8th grade level.


RCIA – ADULTS RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Adults must be prepared in order to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, First Communion and/or Confirmation. The classes are held on Mondays at 7:30 PM in the Blessed Mother’s room (rectory office).
